Betty Zietlow

Age 98, passed away on September 1, 2026. She was born in 1927, in Durand, Michigan.

Betty and her husband, Richard raised their family in Lapeer, Michigan (Elba area). After Richards death, she moved to Holt. She was a devoted member of Messiah Lutheran Church, enjoyed baking and being involved in her family’s lives. She was a loving homemaker, who adored her kids and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Philip) Wolak, Denis (Betsy) Zietlow, and Carol (Michael) Laur, and cherished former daughter-in-law, Kathy Zietlow; grandchildren, Amy (Matthew) Taylor, Chris (Sarah) Wolak, Joshua Zietlow, Ben (Taylor) Zietlow, Sarah Zietlow, Michael (Ali) Laur, and Kristen (Zac) Stone; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Adaline, Grace, Grant, Vincent, Amelia, Izzie, Charlie, Caroline, Michael and Matthew, and many nieces and nephews and loving friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Richard Zietlow; brother, Gale (Lanora) Schutz; and sister, Doris (Arnold) Luick.

The memorial service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 5740 Holt Rd., Holt, MI 48842. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church- Holt or Sparrow Hospice through University of Michigan Health- Sparrow Foundation.
