Danny E. Davis

Born May 13, 1951, in Dowagiac, Michigan, he went home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2019. Dan was preceded in death by his parents Booker & Fanny Mae Davis.  He is survived by his wife Hilda Davis; his sons, Michael Rocha, Joshua Davis, Moses Davis & Robert Guccione; his daughters, Chey Davis, Irene Rocha, LeAnna Garcia and Raquel (Matthew) Cilwa; his 23 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  Dan came to Lansing in 1969 to attend Michigan State University as a music major, he loved listening to the marching band and shared his love of music with his family.  Dan worked at AT&T for 38 years until he retired in 2010. Dan was a man who loved his family and the Lord.  Dan took great joy in sharing the Lord’s word here in his community and abroad serving on missions to Mexico, Russia & Vietnam.  His last words were of his family and his love for them.  Visitation will be held at Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, on Monday January 7, 2019, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.  Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Mt. Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Rd., Lansing, at 11 am in the Prayer Chapel.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
