Shirley Ann Smith

Lansing, Michigan

Age 78, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on February 13, 2018.  She was born July 18, 1939, in Lansing, to Ewald and Viola Rach.  Shirley graduated from J.W. Sexton High School and was a member of the Sewing Guild and a ceramics class.  She also enjoyed knitting and painting.

Surviving are:  her husband of 56 years, Richard Smith; children, Greg Smith, Brenda Ross, and Carolyn Smith; grandchildren, David Smith, Shane (Bethanie) Ross, and Taylor Ross; great-granddaughter, Gabriella Ross; sister, Karen Knowles; and brother, Jeff (Cheryl) Rach.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday.  Online condolences may be left for her family at www.EstesLeadley.com.
