He was adored by his family, friends and neighbors. He served under the airborne in the Army and he retired from General Motors after 42 years. When he wasn’t helping his family and friends, he enjoyed: golfing, hunting, fishing and rooting for his favorite sports teams.

He is also survived by his children: Melissa, Shannan, Shawn, Kristina and Ashley; his father, James; his Aunt Virginia “Ginny” Cogan; his brothers, Randy (Sue) and Lonnie; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy; brother, Donnie; and Uncle Leon Cogan.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his oncology office, Dr. Layhe; the McLaren hospice team and Mary.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2012, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. Marce and family,

On behalf of the Dennis Harr family, we would like to give our deepest sympathy for your loss. “Duffy” as we know him, was such a terrific person. Dad truly admired him and loved him dearly.

Dad and Duffy were such good friends and we can only hope they have half as much fun in heaven as they did here together.

    Our thoughts are with you.

    Sincerely,

    Celine Harr and girls
