“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.  Beverly Joy McNeilly left her earthly home for her heavenly home February 22, 2012, surrounded by the love of her family.  She was born August 15, 1930, in Lansing, to Kenneth and Mildred Dravenstatt.  Beverly received great joy from spending time with children as a caregiver in the nursery at Central Free Methodist Church in Lansing.  She also spent 30 years as a bus driver for Holt Public Schools.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth J. McNeilly, who was called to his heavenly home February 9, 2012. Surviving are:  children, Parna Westfall, Donald (Margaret) McNeilly, Kevin (Pattie) McNeilly, and Kenneth (Tresea) McNeilly; grandchildren, Stacy (Dion) Gideon, Meghan McNeilly, Jordan McNeilly, Danielle McNeilly, Chris McNeilly, Nick McNeilly and Mandy Westfall; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ardis Sawyer.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel with The Rev. Dan Shinabarger and Pastor Sue Alvera officiating. Interment will take place at Danby Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

    So many fond memories of both Ken and Bev. Bev, I miss our chats, trips to the lake, and to the many craft stores. You are truly a treasure in our hearts then and always. May God bless you and Ken on your next journey. Peace always!
