Thank you Mary, for service above and beyond the call of duty. I worked with Mary for more than 20 years starting in 1966. On March 23, 1967 as I was en route to Lapeer the call came to our office that my ill father had only a short time to live. Without hesitation, Mary got in her car and chased me down to a coffee shop on the way. She sped me back to St. Lawrence hospital. While we didn’t make it back in time to see my Dad, I’ll never forget her efforts.

What a champion! To have had so much time with Mary, sharing her wealth of knowledge to those of us new to state government and the ins and outs of working within its framework. I have thoroughly enjoyed the times spent with Mary while working together on the MAGE Constitution and Bylaws committee. She was both wise and sharp, always had me thinking not only about how MAGE is supposed to function but about the role I play within my job! Her knowledge and thoughtfulness will be missed. Thank you Mary for being the person that you are and sharing your life with us.
