William J. Kundrat "Cook"

Age 84, Cook is walking with Jesus today.  Father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, died October 3, 2015.  Cook was a licensed journeyman plumber for over 50 years.  He loved to fish and hunt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, 3 sisters and a son.  Surviving are:  3 children, Bill (Pam) Kundrat of Grand Ledge, Jim (Cindy) Kundrat of Lansing, Karen (Jeff) Miller of Haslett; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Betty Ward and Kaye Denny, both of Lansing, and Dolly King of West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015, at South Church of the Nazarene, 401 W. Holmes Rd., Lansing.  An interment service with military honors will take place in Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, at 2:30 p.m.  Bill’s family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Ministry at South Church of the Nazarene, or to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in memory of William Kundrat.

Dear Bill, Karen, and Jim,

I’m so very sorry for the loss of your dad. He has a special place in my heart and will be forever missed. He was one of the kindest gentlemen that I have ever met. May you find peace in your hearts while going through this hard time.

Uncle Cook will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful man and a caring uncle.

Jim and family,

I’m so sorry for your loss. My dad Harley Ankney always spoke fondly of your dad and frequently asked me if I had heard anything about him from Jim.
