Walter William Korloch II

Walter “Bill” Korloch passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2014 in Lansing, Michigan, while in the loving care of his family at the age of 85. He was born July 11, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, to Walter and Lula (Nall) Korloch.

Walter graduated from Olivet High School in 1947. He served his country in the U. S. Army in 1948 and 1949. Following his military service, he began working at Fisher Body and retired in 1986 after many years of dedicated service. He spent as much time as possible on the golf course with his friends. He was a member of Post 701 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also enjoyed bowling and eating chocolate.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Connie (Visel) Korloch; daughters, Pat (Ron Mercer) Korloch, Susan (Fred Meyers) Korloch, Nancy (Rick) Patzkowsky, and Laura (Ron) Browne; his granddaughters Korey (Michael) Barker, Rachel (Brad) Stephan, Stacy Steinhauer, Sara (Casey Gaetze) Browne, Brenna Browne, and Emily Browne; his great-grandchildren Jack and Lucy Barker; and his brother, Rich Korloch. Walter is predeceased by his brother, Len Korloch.

The Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. The family will greet relatives and friends from 3-6 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later time at Delta Hillside Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
