W. Wesley J. "Les" Miller, Sr.

Age 68, passed away August 22, 2011 due to an aneurysm. He was born on June 18, 1943 in Lansing. Les devoted his life to always being jovial and helping anyone he could. He sustained a closed-head injury on November 6, 1995 at GM that trapped him in a body and mind he didn’t like, but if he could be with his family and friends that didn’t matter.

He is survived by his wife and friend of over 35 years, Kim; sons, Brandon, Jim, Bob and Brian; daughters, Jaenea and Stacy; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Uri “Sonny” (Bernie) and John (Judy); and sister, Margaret (Ron) Drake. He was preceded in death by his sister Louise.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt, MI. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Parkinson Foundation.

Les, I will miss your growls in the morinings and your complaining of all the fuss over blood sugars and medication. I don’t think I will ever take another blood pressure without thinking of you. Even thou we only just met alittle over 2 months ago, I feel we had a true friendship. I hope in some way I have made some of your days alittle brighter. You are why I enjoy my work. I will keep your family in my prayers. And YES I Thanked God for letting you go your way!
