Age 13 months, of Mason, passed away unexpectedly October 24, 2011.  She was born September 9, 2010 in Lansing to Brooke McDaniel and Dustin Roznowski.  She is also survived by maternal grandparents: Kevin McDaniel and Paula Kruger, and Lisa McDaniel; maternal great-grandmother: Doreen Brown; paternal grandparents: Carol and Dave Roznowski; and paternal great-grandparents: Frank and Beth Roznowski, and Wanda Winter. She is also survived by aunts and one uncle: Tiffany Crews, Kassie McDaniel, and Austin Roznowski; and also many great-aunts and uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by maternal great-grandfather Donald Brown, paternal great-grandfather Glenn Heator, and great-aunt Colleen Converse.

Veda never let any of the difficulties in her short life get to her, and  her strength touched more lives in one year than many do in a lifetime. We love you and will miss you.

The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.  Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family.

Our hearts ache for the family – losing a child is the most painful thing any parent can go through. We have lost two children at age 27 and know the ache in your hearts. Know we are thinking of you and will pray for little Veda and her family…….

Brooke, Dustin, & family,
No words can heal your hearts at this time. I will always be grateful that I knew Veda. My heart fills with joy when I think of her smile. She will forever be the little Finley’s mascot. We love you all and will miss her dearly.

What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us. May knowing you’re in the hearts and thoughts of others help you and yours through this time of sorrow

I had the privilege of playing with Veda and watching her grow over the past 5 months. She was a fun little girl who LOVED her mommy. When Veda smiled, her whole face lit up. May the support of family and friends help you through this very difficult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was fortunate to see Veda at the Well Child Health Clinic. She was a beautiful child and much loved. Her parents’ love for her was obvious even in the clinic exam room — as was her love for them. I could see her strength and spirit even when she was not feeling well.

My heart goes to the family — losing a child is a great tragedy and brings great sadness. I wish you strength as you learn to live with the loss. I hope you can find ways to face it together and become stronger despite the pain.
