Samuel Hall

Samuel Hall was born September 19, 1944, to Lillie Hall in West Memphis, Arkansas. Samuel grew up and attended school in Arkansas. He later relocated to Rochester, New York, and settled in Lansing, Michigan. Sam worked as an auto body repairman until he retired in 2006.

“Sam” as we knew and loved him was called home to be with the Lord on September 19, 2017, (his 73rd birthday). Sam was known for his infectious smile and ability to keep anyone he met laughing.

Samuel was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ora Hall, mother Lillie Hall, and sister Samuella Hall. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Virginia Hall; sister, Ora Cooks of Atlanta, Georgia; children, Linda, Glenda, Lisa, and Samuel Jr., all of Rochester, New York, Charrise of Denver, Colorado, Reginald, Chad, Tammie, Samuel, Julian, Justin, and Charriana, all of Lansing, Michigan; 20-plus grandchildren; 10-plus great-grandchildren; special niece and nephew, Michael and Carla Cooks; and a host of family and friends who will truly miss him.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Immanuel’s Temple Systems of Church, 5400 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Lansing, MI 48911. His family will receive friends at the church at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
