Sad news indeed. My sympathy to the whole family. We certainly had lots of laughs from Boy Scouts and high school on, for decades while Ron worked at MSU.

It’d be only just if they had all the campus elevators stopped at half-mast Monday.

Judy and family,
Our deepest condolences to you on your loss. Our world has lost a very special man, but with every life he touched, he left behind a better person. I’m eternally grateful for the friendship and guidance he bestowed upon me through our time together at MSU, and in his years of retirement. He was my mentor long before we knew what that meant, and taught me many lessons that changed me as a person.

Sincerely,
John & Karen

I can not even put into words the great influence Ron has had on me. His larger than life personality was infectious. He had so many one liners that I find myself using day in and day out. He was a staple to the MSU community not only as an employee in the Phys Plant but also with us at the Pharmacy. He knew everyone on campus and he was a second father and mentor to so many. I know he is looking down on me right now and flashing that trademark smile.
Judy (the boss) my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. We are gonna miss him so much here at the CCP. You have us if you need anything.

Judy, Jan and I are so very sorry for your loss. Ron and I had so many good times together both as co-workers and as union representatives . One of the things I always respected about him was the way he cared about all of the people he worked with ,not only his own union but everyone on campus. He was a great friend and will be missed by everyone. Sincerely Hugh

Ron I miss you so much already, but I kindly thank God for the years he did give us. I know you are aware of how much your family loves you. You can be so proud of your teenage granddaughters that spent your last days by your side. They are no longer children they are young ladies. You, with your stroke and dying, took them on that journey. Continue to be proud of Sam and all the rest. I hope you have your room picked out in God’s mansion and that you are now smiling down on all of us. All our family and friends speak so highly of you but they can’t tell me anything I don’t already know. You were my husband, but most of all, my best friend. I love you to the moon and back!

Dave and Family,
Draw strength from those around you and take solace in the fact that you do not grieve alone. Our family members live on in all of our hearts. They never truly depart. They live in the twinkle of an eye, the heartiness of a laugh and the loving touch to a another.

With my sincerest sympathies,
Paul Malewski

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Ron. He was a special person from whom I learned much about life in our time together at MSU. He was a friend, a mentor, a counselor, a comedian, all rolled into one and often all at the same time. I am a better person for having known him. He touched everyone’s life who knew him and will be greatly missed. You got a good one, God, and he’ll make You laugh. He’ll be missed, but a little bit of Ron will live on in all of us who knew him.

I knew Ron when he was delivering prescriptions for the clinical center. He always brigtened my day, offered advice and kept me updated as to what was happening around campus. I was getting ready to retire when I met him and he very much encouraged me to find a different job when I did. He was an wonderful kindhearted gentleman with a great smile who will be missed terribly. Peace to all family members.
