I was 2 years younger than “Rick” as he was known at Gino’s Bar on South Cedar St. back in the 70’s. He was a great person to talk with while having a cold one.

Rich has been my friend since junior high, over 70 hrs ago. Plenty of good times, golf, trips, Vegas, cruise ships, gin rummy. He was always fun to be around and would give his friends nick names, the name he gave me was Rabbit. Rich was a great father, always looking after all the kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He will be missed greatly by us, see you in heaven Sudsy.. Roger & Shar….

I just found out yesterday about Rich passing away. I always enjoyed seeing and talking to Rich and Sharon at Lucky’s. I always told Rich he was my hero when I saw him at Lucky’s for his baseball career and he would tell me I was his because I was still playing in my 70’s. I loved seeing his old baseball pictures with past MLB stars. Sharon, please accept my deepest sympathy and please still come to Lucky’s to visit us. All of us loved seeing you and Rich.

Until we meet again Rich, RIP my friend.
