Phyllis leaves behind Two sisters Gloria (Robert) Corey, Patricia (Buster) Brewbaker, two Sons Kim (Sue) Wallace, Mark (Wendy) Wallace, 4 Daughters Diana Wallace, Gloria Tackett, Beth (Dana) Lounds, Maryann Wallace and daughter-in-law Judy Wallace, 16 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren, Many Nieces and Nephews, and Many wonderful Friends that touched her life.

Phyllis was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother that was very active in her children and grandchildren’s lives.  She took pride in her family, in her friends and in life. She lived her life the way she wanted to even with the restrictions that Rheumatoid arthritis brought. It never slowed her down she was still very active after retiring from Farm Bureau Ins. Co. She moved to Brooksville, Florida to be closer to her sisters and Brother.  Retirement to mom meant to volunteer at the Oak Hill hospital and at the Golf Club shop at Highpoint Golf course and Senior Community. She was always going and doing.  Mom touched many lives in wonderful ways. She will be missed by many.

Mom from all of us kids…  Thank you for teaching us to love, laugh and enjoy life even when life is at it’s hardest. The sharp looks of disapprovals that could stop even the biggest man in his tracks, the tug to the fine hairs at the nape of the neck to get us in line. The yelling nicely when we did wrong helped us become the wonderful adults we are. Mom you taught us well. Be in peace Mom and enjoy the wonders of heaven.

There will be a memorial service held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Deepdale Memorial Gardens Chapel.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association or that of the donor’s choice.  Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
