Philip K. Wolcott

Age 68, of Lansing, passed away December 21, 2011. He was born May 16, 1943, in Lansing, the son of the late Clare and Winifred Wolcott. Philip was an avid MSU fan and a member of St. Mary Cathedral.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Lisa (Jeff) Hicks, Matthew Wolcott, Michael Wolcott, Caralyn Wolcott; granddaughters, Lauren Hicks and Aubrie Hicks; brothers, Roger Wolcott and Paul (Jane) Wolcott; sister, Judy Kessler; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clint and Joyce Geiger; and many loving nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at St. Mary Cathedral, 219 Seymour Avenue, Lansing, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in memory of Philip, may be made to an education fund set up for his daughter Caralyn. Checks can be made payable to “Hicks & Mullett, PLLC – Client Trust Account FBO Caralyn Wolcott” and mailed to: Hicks & Mullett, PLLC, 412 N. Walnut St., Lansing, MI 48933.

There is a place we can go when the grief overwhelms us – back to the loving, warm memories of what he meant to you. Soon the ache of his loss will be replaced by those warm, loving memories. You are in my prayers, especially my former co-worker, Mike. He must have been a very good person to have produced such good children. Thinking of you, Mike and Lisa.
