Patrick E. Bohnet

Bohnet, Patrick photoAge 72, of Lansing, MI, died July 3, 2017, at his cottage, surrounded by his family.  Patrick was born August 6, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He was a son to Ronald and Lee Bohnet.  Patrick graduated from J.W. Sexton High School.  He was President of Bohnet Electric, where he worked as a master electrician.  Patrick lived his bucket list every day, including:  his family, his business, his cottage at Horsehead Lake, and golf.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents; first wife of 30 years, Dianne; his second wife of 10 years, Christine; son-in-law, Douglas Dietz; parents-in-law, Wayne and Bertha Pangborn; and brothers-in-law, Dennis Pangborn and Edward Emery.  Surviving are:  daughters, Sheri (David) Melville and Rena Dietz; 5 adored grandchildren, Lynzie, Lukas, Austin, Sierra, and Dakota; brothers, Mike (Vicki) Bohnet and Steve Bohnet; special friend, Kathy Fosnight; significant other, Ruthie Williams; sister-in-law, Kathleen Emery; brothers-in-law, Gary (Dolly) Pangborn and Claude (Sue) Pangborn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with inurnment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, or the Ingham County Animal Shelter in memory of Patrick Bohnet.

Mike, Steve, Sheri, and Rena your brother or father will be sadly missed. My heart goes out to you in knowing the grief you must be enduring. I remember even in childhood Pat had that special rare humor. And yes as he said, “You would want to do it (be it doing something special, purchasing something special, etc) for him” and that did describe how it was! I have no doubt the “Gates of Heaven” were opened wide for him to enter. God Bless!

OH DEAR SO SORRY AND SHOCKED TO HEAR OF PATS DEATH. MY SYMP;ATHY TO ALL OF HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS. I WENT TO HS WITH PAT AND MIKE. THEIR DAD WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE. PAT WAS MY ELECTRICIAN AND HE ALWAYS QUICKLY ANSWERED MY CALL AND SEEMED SO ENERGETIC. SORRY I MISSED THE SERVICE. WITH HEALING THOUGHTS SUSIE HERRMANN BREWSTER

Sorry hear about Pat’ s passing RIP one less great electrician in the area and one less old electrcian at the supply house we are a rare commodity and minority in a young man’s game my thoughts are 8th you
