Nancy M. Williams

Age 80, of Lansing, passed away January 30, 2012. She was born August 12, 1931, in Cambridge MA, the daughter of the late Albert and Amy (Brown) Landfear.

Nancy was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lansing. She owned and operated a day care out of her home for many years and enjoyed going to the casinos.

She was preceded in death by her husband Everett M. Williams and brothers Arthur and Bob Landfear. She is survived by her children, Dennis (Diane) Warren, Linda Matson and Tammy (Daniel) Timlin; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, William Landfear; sisters, Helen (Wayne) Peake and Ruby Whalen; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Elsie.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staffs at Delta Retirement Center and Hospice Advantage for their loving and tender care of our mother.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with the Rev. Melanie Baker of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Pioneer Cemetery in Grand Ledge. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or Hospice Advantage.

Uncle Denny and Aunt Di,
So sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. I have such fond memories of the time I spent at her daycare. She took such good care of us and was always singing and smiling. That’s how I will always remember her. Sending you all prayers.
