Lynn (Kathryn) Bambusch

Age 67, of Holt, Michigan, had a glorious release surrounded by loved ones June 1, 2015 after a short but brave battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born January 28, 1948 in Algonac to George and Donna Waterhouse. She was a mentor to many, a dedicated and much loved special education teacher for Holt Public Schools, where her students and co-workers always provided constant entertainment to keep her laughing and the need for reality television at a minimum.

Her greatest joys were spending time with her family and friends, epic tailgates with Michigan State University’s the “Ten O’clock Shot”, traveling, stalking her children on FaceBook, spreading generosity, and brightening the world with her unique sense of humor.

Surviving are: her husband of 44 years, Leland (“Lee” the “Silver Fox”) Bambusch; mother, Donna Waterhouse; brother, Don Waterhouse; son, Brad Bambusch; and daughter, Brooke Felger.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2015, at 3:00 p.m., at Chisholm Hills Golf Course and Banquet Center, located at 2395 Washington Road, Lansing, MI 48911. Bright colors will be worn and happy stories will be shared by all those who loved her. Like she’d always say, “President Starkey says things are getting better.”

We are so sorry for your loss and your family will remain in our thoughts and prayers.

We shared some of the most joyous memories of our lives with Lynn and Lee during MSU Tailgates and going out to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl. Lynn was one of the most giving and genuine people that I had the honor of calling my friend. Tailgates will never be the same and Lynn will always remain in our hearts!

Go Green….Go White! We will miss you Lynn.

My prayers are with your family. Lynn and I worked together in our classrooms for students with special needs in Holt. We had fun attending classes at Central Michigan and the endless IEP’s for students transitioning to Hope Middle School from Wilcox Elementary. She was a wonderful, caring wife, mother and teacher. Lynn will be greatly missed.
