Leeanne M. Roberts

Roberts-Leeanne-photo-300x224Leeanne Mary Roberts (nee Snyder), of East Lansing, passed on Thursday, April 27, 2017. She was 85 years old.

Leeanne grew up in the Allentown, Pennsylvania, area. She attended the Moravian Seminary and was an accomplished pianist and vocal soloist.   She enjoyed traveling and made frequent trips to Florida as a young woman.  She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church choir.  She attended North Carolina State University where she majored in music.   She was a homemaker and enjoyed her years caring for her four children. Leeanne moved to Michigan in 1990, residing first in the city of Flint and most recently in the Lansing area where she attended St. John’s Student Parish.

Leeanne faced many health challenges, but throughout her long life she remained gracious and loving to her family and those who cared for her.  She was a gentle soul who remained steadfast in her faith and grateful for the small joys in each day.

Leeanne is survived by three sons, Leon Roberts (wife Margie) of Florida, Randy Roberts (wife Linda Dykema) of Michigan, and Robert Roberts (partner Lesa Eagle) of Maryland; one daughter, Lynn Davis (husband John) of South Carolina; as well as 8 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a private celebration of life in Leeanne’s honor at the Garden of Burcham Hills in East Lansing.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017, at Zion’s Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville, PA, with the Rev. Martin Milne officiating. She will be interred in Old Zionsville, PA, alongside her parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.
