I was a friend of Layman’s while he was a student at Waverly High School in 1969-70. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss.

So sorry to hear that Layman (Lee) has passed. I first met him in Junior high school. Later in life a mutual friend set us up on a blind date. I noticed that his birthdate is missing from the information listed about him, as I recall it was 11/18/1952. I chose to think of him playing his beautiful music in heaven.

To our daughter, Sarah, I want to say I love You and I’m sorry for your loss. To Lee, You were right .. We did make a beautiful little girl ,who grew up to be a wonderful woman and a great mom. I’m thankful for that “cup of sugar and the songs you played for us!!” Rest easy and know that I will continue to watch and care for our baby as long as God allows me to.

Good-bye my dear friend and companion. We have been as close as possible since we met september 30, 1997. I will always remember all the fun things we did together, the dance classes, the dancing, the trips, the holidays with Family and friends, and all the love we shared. I will miss you always but I can only be glad for the peace you have finally found. You’ll be held lovingly in the hearts of my daughter’s Danyel’ and Darci, and the Grandkids we loved Amber, Tony, Austin, and Jayde. ROCK ON!! sweet heart and I’ll see you soon.
