Joy A. Behrmann
Age 62, of Lansing, MI, went to be with her Lord on June 24, 2017. Joy was born June 10, 1955, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Richard and Betty Molenkamp. She retired from Ingham County 911 after 25 years of honorable service. Joy was a long-time member of South Church.
Surviving are her mother, Betty Molenkamp; sister, Jill Bacon; nephew, Todd (Amy) Bacon; nieces, Tammy (Christopher) Gilbert and Julie (Jacob) Vander-Starre; great-nephews, Justin and Joshua Bacon, Connor Gilbert, Adrian and Noah Vander-Starre; and great-nieces, Rachel and Lauren Gilbert, and Sydney Bacon. Also important in her life were her two step-granddaughters, Morgan (Ryan) Storey and their son Tate, Jordan (Matthew) Williams, and her friend Lois Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce, her father Richard, her sister Janna, and her brother-in-law Greg.
Her memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017, at South Church, 5250 Cornerstone Drive, Lansing, with Pastor Don Denyes officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

She generously shared her gift of encouragement, both in word and deed, by beautifully putting pen to paper (usually in a lovely card) to express kind and heartfelt sentiments. I am thankful to have known her and am grateful that her suffering is over. How very much I will miss her, though!
