I was the nurse that cared for Jae’Dnn each night that I worked and I wanted to share some of what made him a special little boy. It may be hard to imagine that someone so small could have his own little personality, his own little preferences, but he did. He made it clear to me that he preferred to lay on one side more that the other, and liked his leg a different way from the way I may have positioned him. The strongest way that he showed me what he liked was the way he responded when his parents came to visit. We watched as his vital signs improved and his oxygen inside him rose as he listened to and felt their presence. I care for many babies but Jae’Dnn will always stay in my heart. To Mika and Marcus, I say that you are embarking on a long journey, and as painful as it will be, know that God and Jae’Dnn will be with you always. Sincerely, Jamie
