Holly Marie Bossenbery

Holly BossenberyHolly was born August 26, 1993, in Lansing.  She left her earthly family so unexpectedly to be with her Lord on January 30, 2011.  She was a senior at Holt High School where she was actively involved with the school store, environmental club and had numerous friends.  Holly’s passion was dance, performing and competing in various styles.  Her best gifts were her amazing smile and compassion for others, leaving a lasting impact on all who met her.  Her vibrant presence will be missed dearly!

She leaves behind her loving family:  her mother, Christine (Chris Kidd); father, Mark Bossenbery; her big brother, Christopher; extended siblings, Ashley and Brittany Kidd and Eric Spriggs; her grandparents; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3815 S. Cedar St., Lansing, with The Rev. Fr. John A. Byers officiating.  The family will receive friends at a memorial visitation at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Christine Bossenbery on behalf of Holly, for a memorial fund to be distributed at a later date.

“Beautiful!  From walking down the hallway to gracefully gliding across the stage, there was that one word that described my sister.  From playing ‘Bronco’ with our cousins in our basement to watching her get dressed for prom, she never failed to glow.  Beautiful also describes the way she loved my mother, father, me, and everyone that came into her life.  Never quick to judge, never holding grudges, her heart never failed to love to its fullest.  Any who knew Holly knew her true beauty and the way she touched everyone so gracefully.”

Love, Christopher Mark Bossenbery

My heart goes out to all of you. I wish there were words to express what my heart feels. Your entire Ingham family keeps you in our prayers and thoughts. God will see you through this. Remember “Footsteps”? When you see only one set of footprints in the sand, it is these times when He carries you through. Just know that we all love you and care for you and if there is anything we can do, please ask. Holly is in a safe place and will watch over you all and protect you too. Take care of yourselves.

What a beautiful angel. I can tell she is and will be loved forever and always. You must be a wonderful family and you will continue to be a wonderful family until you are all together again. She must have loved her mom, dad and brother very much because it shows in the love she has received in return. I did not have the privilege of knowing Holly personally but know that another very special person crossed my life path …

Our deepest sympathies go out to Mark, Christine, and Christopher, and all of the family and friends who loved Holly so much. I can picture her like yesterday, a lovely little girl sitting in the church pew with her loving family, a young girl helping out as an altar server. And more than anything, that beautiful smile that she had always bestowed on everyone around her. Our prayers are with all of you.

Holly was a wonderful person inside and out. She gave me a lot of fun and hapiness. She always made me smile and laugh. What´s hapened to her is terrible and I just wish this never happened to Holly because she was great. I too have to say a thing about her smile and that is: It was beautiful and lightend up the whole room, so did her laughter.
I will miss her very much, she was my friend and cousin.

I don’t have the words to express my sorrow at the loss of your daughter, Holly. I did not know her but knew Mark and Christine from way back. Looking at her picture, I’d say she looks as pretty as her Mom–I, too, have a daughter a little older than Holly, and would be heartbroken at her loss. Just know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have been Holly’s biology and Human Physiology teacher over the years and she was currently in my 5th hour class. She was such a joyful young lady and so graceful. She is very missed by all of us. Holly had gone through her struggles in school and had grown into such a dedicated student. She was so proud of a quiz grade she got just last week. I am so deeply saddened by her loss and my heart goes out to all of you. I also had Chris in school and my heart goes out to you as well. You were such a wonderful big brother to Holly and she loved you so very very much. She would talk about you often and her face would light up. I wanted you to know that the teachers and staff at Holt High school are thinking of you and miss Holly very much.

Pretty Holly,
I love you, I will never be able to make your favorite chocolate chip cookies without thinking of you. You would fight for those things! You were such a good friend to Makenzie, I loved to hear the sound of you two cracking up laughing in her bedroom. I know you will be a special dancing angel that watches over Kenzie. I tell her to talk to you when she is missing you, I know you hear her. We see you everywhere in our house, in every room there is a memory. I loved to jump on Kenzie’s bed with the both of you & just “girl talk”. I miss you now and always will. The note you wrote me on my car window is still there and I think of you every time i look at it. Rest In Peace. Keep on Dancing.

Christine – I can’t imagine the position you find yourself in today, but know that you are strong, loving and faithful, and will find peace in knowing that Holly is with her Heavenly Father, and will know no more pain or suffering.

Please know that you are surrounded by prayers and the love of your many friends.

“Holly has slipped the surly bonds of earth, and danced on laughter-silvered wings, trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out her hand, and touched the face of God.” May she rest in peace.

To Mark and to all the Bossenbery Family. I am so sad for all of you. Holly was a beautiful girl. It makes you wonder why God would let something like this happen. It just doesn’t seem fair. I can only imagine how all of you must be feeling. I am with deepest sympathy for you all and if there is anything I can do please let me know. Please, keep the Faith. Faith is the only thing that helped me when my parents and sister passed away. You WILL see her again.Love to you all.

Christine,
I am so sorry for your loss. I just learned last night that Holly was one of the people in the accident. I didn’t recognize her picture, she was just a little girl when I last saw her. She grew into a beautiful young woman. What a gift God gave you. He called her home much too soon. May the love of God, family and friends surround you and sustain you at such a difficult time.
