This message is for the family of Helen.

Ruth cannot send this herself so we are doing it for her. They have been best friends for a very long time. When Helen lived in Michigan she called Ruth a lot just to be sure she was okay. When she left the State, then cards and letters were always sent to Ruth. Helen would use pictures Marilyn had taken to make those cards. When Ruth lived with us she would read and reread these cards. When it got to the point she couldn’t read anymore, we read them to her. At the nursing home those cards were posted to her bulletin board as well as pictures of her and Helen in a collage. When we called Helen, they talked for a long time and we could tell she remembered Helen. This was a most special friendship that went back many years. Helen always ended her letters with “Hugs and prayers to you. I’ll see you in heaven someday.” We want you to know just how special Helen was in so many ways! Hugs and prayers to all of you.
