What a loss of a good ‘spirt’ and the humor and the kindness Harvey ‘Jack’ had for others.

Sincere sympathy

HUMC will find it impossible to repace Harvey’s energy and enthusiasm. We was a much loved character in the church. Most sincere sympathy to him family and friends. He shall be missed. God Bless.

We will miss Harvey and his special way with things. The UMW are pleased to be able to host the luncheon following the service. God bless Harvey as he has blessed us.

I loved Harvey. He was a real character. So helpful, if we needed anything he would just go to his house and get it for us. Thanks for sharing Harvey.

Harvey has been a blessing. For my tenure here at Holt UMC Harvey has been the “hot dog man” at the church’s MSU Football concession stands, laboring long hours to make sure each dog and brat was cooked to standards and served with a smile. He worked long hours willingly, committed to the cause of helping others. He will be missed. Each year he was an important part of the Red Bird Mission Team and spent his weeks in Beverly, Kentucky helping to prepare food each day for the hungry mission teams. Last year when the power went out Harvey made do for all with an outdoor grill. I also know that he often helped pack food boxes for the hungry in the area. He will be missed. We are all better for his service.

I only knew Harvey(Jack as I knew him) for a short time; every time I seen him he would greet me with a smile and a joke or 2. We went to dinner a few times, and was about the same age. When we were together he was always nice to me. I had seen him 3 weeks before his passing, I will miss his smile and jokes. Rest in peace dear friend
