Gilbert B. Quesada

At age 72, Gilbert went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2014. He was born on February 4, 1942 in San Benito, TX to Jose and Margarita Quesada. He was currently of Lansing, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Betty Quesada; daughter, Margarita Garcia; man’s best friend, his Chuco; brothers, Andres and Juan Quesada; and sisters, Dominga Q. Pinon and Juanita Lopez. He is survived by his sons, Gilbert J. (Kathy) Quesada and Jose (Ciera) Quesada, and daughters Ruby (Leonardo) Arevalo, Melissa K. Quesada, Maria E. Quesada and Kisha Nason. Gilbert was blessed with 16 beautiful grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved Tia Moye; sisters, Antonia Pesina, Guadalupe Quesada, Manuela (Pedro) Medina and Yolanda Lopez; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends including his best friends for over 45 years, Juve and Gino Aldaco.

Gilbert was a man of many passions. He was a Master Griller and a lover of all sports but especially his Dallas Cowboys. His love of music came out through his passion for dancing. He will be truly missed. We would like to extend a thank you to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan at St. Lawrence.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Bill Lugger at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at St. Casimir Catholic Church, 815 Sparrow Ave., Lansing. The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 11th, with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m., at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.

We only knew you for a short time, you were a wonderful man and a wonderful father. You will be missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Quesada family.
