Gary was a colleague and friend for decades. He was always so gracious about hosting summer picnics at his farm. We always enjoyed his farm fresh eggs and fishing in his pond. He would always be the first to ask, “How was your weekend?” and was usually first to arrive in the office each day. Rest In Peace my friend.

Gary, you and your thoughtfulness will be missed. And your visit and the fresh eggs that you lovingly pack for your friends, too. So sorry for your family’s loss.

The biggest smiles I saw on Gary’s face were on Lugnuts game days…fitting that you’re leaving us at the beginning of baseball season. Hope you’re throwing out a few opening pitches with the greats. Rest peacefully, Gary.

My condolences to Susan and Nancy and families regarding your loss. I’ll always remember Gary as being quiet but extremely friendly. He had a great work ethic like his dad and probably his mom as well. I fondly remember fishing Tawas Bay for perch with Gary, and both our families picking up a bucket of perch in Tawas City for a weekend dinner.

I am sure Gary’s work habits and kindness served him well working with DEQ. We’ll pray for perch in heaven and a chance to fish again.

Bill

I played tennis with Gary for many years. He loved to play and was always there early, ready to play. He was a really nice man, I never saw him lose his temper or have a bad word to say about anyone. I will miss him!

I am one of a group of people that played tennis with Gary at CourtOne North. Gary was always a gentleman, and we will miss him. I pray for all of his family and close friends that our Lord Jesus will soften their grief and pain. Jesus invites us all to come to Him when we are “heavy-laden” and He will give us rest from our sorrows. He loves us so much that He laid down His life for us, so that we can be forgiven and spend eternal life with Him and one another.

I too played tennis with Gary and experienced the same graciousness that he conveyed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy and Craig and Gary’s family.
