Elaine M. Parker

Parker, Elaine photoHolt, Michigan.

Age 87, passed away peacefully May 18, 2017, in the care of loving family, with the compassion and comfort of Great Lakes Caring Hospice.  She was born November 28, 1932, in Lansing.  Elaine worked as a bookkeeper for several organizations, including Miller Road Bible Church and Country Oak Interiors, and volunteered at AWANA.  She was an avid scrapbooker and loved spending time with her grandsons.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Parker in 1990.  Surviving are:  her daughter, Sharon (David) Myers; son, David Glen Taylor; grandsons, Michael David Myers and Matthew Ryan Myers.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, with interment to follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens.  Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice Foundation or the Lansing City Rescue Mission in memory of Elaine Parker.  Online condolences may be left for her family at www.EstesLeadley.com.

She was a sweet lady who led a support group that was a lifesaver for me after my husband died suddenly. She did a great job with that difficult situation & was a great help to those who were lucky enough to learn of her group which met at a Methodist church.
