Eileen Lova Janetzke

Eileen passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Eaton County Palliative Care, Charlotte, MI at the age of 91. She was born May 12, 1921, in Marion Township, Michigan, daughter of the late Martin and Lizzie Carstensen. Eileen was a charter member and very active in her church, Our Savior Lutheran of Lansing.  She graduated from Lansing Eastern High School, and was employed at Michigan, Ohio & Norwalk Trucking, REO Motor Company, Our Savior Lutheran School Hot Lunch, and Bancroft Floral.

Survivors include her children, Bruce (Mary) Janetzke of Brighton, CO, Marsha (Jeffrey) Woods of Detroit, MI, and Gary (Marjorie) Janetzke of Germantown, WI; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Janetzke in 2000, her sister Hilda Walimaki, her brother Marcus Carstensen, and great-grandson Johnathan McCormick.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 7910 E. St. Joe Hwy, Lansing, with Pastor Roy C. Olsen III officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel and on Thursday at Our Savior Lutheran Church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to: Our Savior Lutheran Church, Eaton Community Palliative Care, or Church Resource Ministries-reFocusing.

I am sorry I cannot attend the services, But I just want you to know that the whole Janetzke family is in my prayers. I will miss Eileen. But now she is in heaven with her beloved Harold. May Eileen rest in peace.
