Doris M. Converse

Age 75, of Holt, Michigan, passed away February 15, 2015.  She was born February 19, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan.  Doris retired after working as a nurse for many years at the Ingham County Medical Care Facility on Dobie Road and remained close friends with many of the staff. She loved animals, especially her dogs. Doris enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and neighbors. She also loved cooking for everyone and keeping her house beautiful.

Surviving is her daughter, Karla (Bryan) Robson and grandchildren Kristopher and Mackenzie. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Sven and Ruth Kilgren, and brother Robert Kilgren.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society.

Carla, so deeply sorry to hear this! She looks so beautiful in this pic, and I remember her on Aunt Ruth and Uncle Sven’s farm the most. She was very sweet, and I remember you and I playing alot as kids. I bet she was an awesome nurse as well as mom and grandma.
