Cynthia “Joy” Barnard
Age 61, of East Lansing, MI, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017. She was born to Caroline and Fredrick Barnard on July 18, 1956.
She attended Lansing Everett and Lansing Sexton High School graduating in 1973. She worked at Roselawn Nursing Home in Lansing. Joy lived a good life with the love and support of her family and caregivers. She lived at Evergreen Place in Lansing and at Coleman House in East Lansing for many years. Joy was fortunate to have had such good care. She enjoyed travel, church, pets, art work, and movies.
She is survived by her sister, Sandra Barnard Williams, (Daniel) of Marshall, MI, and her niece, Blair Brindley, (Matthew) of Kalamazoo, MI.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 13, 2018, from 10-11 a.m. at Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1001 N. Capitol Ave., Lansing, MI 48906. Church service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018, in Deepdale Memorial Gardens, 4108 Old Lansing Rd., Lansing, MI 48917. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. www.EstesLeadley.com
