Clement J. “Clem” Caron

Clement “Clem” Caron of Holt, Michigan passed away on November 14th, 2016 with his family by his side. Clem was born on October 24th, 1925 in Ishpeming, Michigan to Charles and Louise Caron.

Clem proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the owner and operator of a carpentry and home building business in the Greater Lansing area. Clem was considered by many customers, businesses and peers to be a “master craftsman” in both finish carpentry and home construction. He was a passionate wood worker and enjoyed giving his customers a product of excellence. Clem will definitely be missed for meticulous attention to detail.

Clem had many hobbies including: hunting, fishing, bird watching, listening to classical music, spending time at deer camp, watching baseball and just spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marge; children, Kenneth (Connie) Caron, Kurt (Elizabeth) Caron, Keith (Brenda) Caron, Kristine (Daniel) Shroyer, and Klement (Carrie) Caron; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 grandchildren; 6 brothers, Paul (Mary) Caron, Joseph (Gladys) Caron, Charles (Agnes) Caron, Henry (Catherine) Caron, Wilford (Edith) Caron, and Leo (Elizabeth) Caron; and 3 sisters, Sr. Louise Caron, Selina (Fred) Delongchamp, and Rita (William) Holman.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3815 S. Cedar St., Lansing, MI 48910 with the interment immediately following at Maple Ridge Cemetery, 4149 East Willoughby Rd., Holt, Michigan 48842. Memorial contributions can be made to the: Clement J. Caron Memorial Fund, in care of: Union Bank, 127 East Rd., Dimondale, Michigan 48821.

Aunt Marge,

We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Clem. We remember all those fun times together in Lansing, celebrating all the weddings of our cousins. Crazy and very fun times.

We love you all and send our deepest sympathies to you and the entire family. Uncle Clem was an amazing man and will be sorely missed!! Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and the family. May God be with you during this time of loss.
