Dear Dr. Humes, Carmen, Alissa and Stephen,
I was very saddened to hear about your mother and grandmother.
I only met her one time at a UM game and I thought she was a beautiful lady. May God bless her on her new journey and I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Dr. Humes and Family,
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother and grandmother. Losing a parent and grandparent can not be easy. It is truly a blessing that she lived a long and full life. Please find comfort in knowing that, and take comfort in knowing that if there was any pain or suffering then there is no more. May God’s spirit come down gentley upon you and comfort sweetly.

Oh Diane and family, we are so sorry to hear this news. I loved the way your mom always took time at the UM caucus events to greet me and share news. And I’ll always remember the hospitality she showed us long ago, when you invited us to your cottage at Lake Michigan. I will miss her.

Dr. Humes:
A spirit whether it animates a physical body or not, is still a spirit that lives for all of eternity. I will pray for your family’s strength throughout this trying time.
Respectfully yours,

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I worked with Kay for many years in Waverly Schools at Windemere View and adored her. Kay was a great colleague and always kind and caring with students. Words of comfort seem to empty when your life is shattered by the loss of someone you loved so dearly. During this holiday season of miracles, may the sorrow in your heart be cradled in gentle hands of hope, healing, and peace.
With sympathy,
Pat Roth
