Only our friend, Carroll would depart this life on the celebration of his birthday. He and his dear, departed wife Dotty have been special friends to us through the years. They brought a wonderful family into this world and we always enjoyed receiving the annual family pictures. Jerry and I were able to assist Carroll and Dotty in booking their favorite cruises with their friends through the years. They loved travel and adventure and we could hardly wait for their return home to see the wonderful pictures that Carroll took. Their home was always full of activity – theatre and dance club parties and true “Norman Rockwell” Christmas gatherings. Jerry and I thank God for sharing Carroll and Dotty with us on our life’s journey.

My condolences to your family. As a young MSU grad student from 1981 to 1984, I rented an apartment in Lansing from Mr. Reed. He was a wonderful landlord and always treated this tenant with great respect.

Dear Marilyn,

I am so sorry to find that Carroll has gone on just weeks ago, when I started looking for you. My daughter Margie had found a picture of Isabel a few weeks ago and sent it to me, and that started me looking for you. I know that your heart is heavy now, but please know that your father and mother were wonderful to me, and that they have always put a smile in my heart when I thought of you all. You and I have been blessed with wonderful parents and mentors and now we both look across the span of Heaven to them all. If you care to and the time is right, please email me at lwpratt2@gmail.com so that we may share all that life has blessed us with.
