Dear Aunt Carol,

You were a wonderful aunt, sister to Mom and friend to many. I will never forget you coming to our wedding in 1978 and the lovely praying hands picture you gave to Scott and I on our wedding day.

May you rest in Jesus’ arms and be at peace. One day we will meet again in heaven!

Your loving niece,
Pam

So sorry to hear about Carol’s passing. Although we never met in person, I enjoyed our e-mails and playing games on the internet for 9 years. She was a fun, loving and caring person! I will surely miss her. My sympathy goes out to her family and friends.

Mom,

I imagine that if I looked up the word “mom” in the dictionary, that it would mean something far short of what you actually were to me. You taught me the importance of helping, loving, and caring for others. Watching you open your heart up to others unconditionally and caring for others has allowed me to do the same. You ensured that I understood that nothing would be handed to me in life and encouraged me at a very young age to work and help do odd jobs in order to make a few extra bucks. I attribute my work ethic to you and the examples that you provided.

You made sure I knew right from wrong and had everything a young child needed to survive and make it in this world. You overcame obstacles that many others in this world most likely didn’t even encounter, and you didn’t let them bring you down. You continued to aim high.

I am blessed to know you are a Christian and to have witnessed your faith at work. You are in Heaven right now and rejoicing wiht God. I will miss you. We all will miss you. But the awesome thing is knowing that it is simply a matter of time before we get to see each other again.

Thank you for being my mom and for loving my family as I grew in life. I wouldn’t have traded you for anything or anyone. You were the very best mom I could have asked for – the very best.

I love you,
Jim

I have wonderful memories of your Mother and my Dad and their special relationship. They were supportive of one another as good families are and should be. Mary & I want to express our heartfelt Thanks to your family for those memories and that heritage. What a wonderful legacy. When I was around her she did it effortlessly. Please accept our deepest feelings for your goodwill, our sympathy for your loss and our sincere apology for not being able to attend the services. If we can support you in any way please let us know how or what we can do to be of service. Our sincerest gratitude goes out to the “Perfect Mom” and her family. What a neat woman and a wonderful legacy.

Dearest Aunt Carol,
My life is full of memories of you, memories of laughter and love. Thank you for always being a part of my life and loving me the way you always did, in your own special way. Every milestone in my life, you were there. Thank you for loving my children, being proud of their accomplishments, and the joy you passed on into their lives. We will miss you. We will miss your cookies and your homemade trail mix and your treats brought from Michigan to Alabama as you made the journey to spend time with us and invest in our lives. But, most of all, we will just miss you completely, miss your light and joy and hugs and smile and all that was you. Our lives are all forever changed by you.
I love you forever,
Jennifer

My sister, Carol, was special in many ways.Carol, you had the ability to overcome so many obstacles and to move on. You were a loving mom, grandmother and sister! You never hesitated to do good for others if you could and that includes us. As I recall the years with you I think of a lot of wonderful memories. The many trips you made alone, and looked so forward to it, to be with us for a few days. The treats that everyone looked forward to and enjoyed. Most of all though, we knew you loved us and wanted to be with us and it meant a great deal. I think of all of our fun times that far outweigh the bad and feel very thankful. I am most thankful to know that you are with the Lord today. I must say, that I know you are in the best place now, but I miss you still. I keep thinking you will call me. One day we will be reunited in heaven. Love you sis!!! Thanks for the love and the memories. Joyce
