Alexander "Alex" Bauer

Alex Bauer, age 77, passed away on February 15, 2012.  He was born in Sofia, Bulgaria to Nada and Otto Bauer who preceded him in death. Alex worked as a professional painter and painted many buildings at MSU, his church, and many houses and businesses in Lansing. He loved going to Mackinaw and Grand Haven to see Coast Guard ships.

He is survived by Carol Wilson, sisters Eleanor (Penju) Miteff and Luba Bauer, four nieces, one nephew, several great-nieces and great-nephews, and Carol Wilson’s children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2012 immediately following the 9:30 a.m. Liturgy at St. Andrew Orthodox Catholic Church in East Lansing. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew or the Capital Area Humane Society.
