Joan “Jo” Switzer

Age 80, of Lansing, passed away November 28, 2011. She was born January 10, 1931 in Lansing. She was a lifelong member of Pennway Church of God.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents Mark Gage and Erma Smith and sister Mary Jane Smith. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Roy Switzer; children, Vicki (Bob) Reimbold, Ric (Rose) Bryde, Thomas (Cathy) Bryde, Ruthie Jarrard, and Jeff Switzer; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; brother, David (Teena) Smith; stepmother, Dorothy Gage; and many nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2011 at Pennway Church of God, 1101 E. Cavanaugh, Lansing, MI 48910. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan or Pennway Church of God.
