September 23, 2011 at 11:19 pmAunt Mary,
Many years ago when I was a teenager, I would drive up after work (I worked Midnights and went to school) to sit with you and Gramma. Remember how Mike and Gramma would hear my car from a few blocks away, I had those loud headers on mhy car because I was so cool, lol) I was lost, confused, and so very lonely .. so I would seek you out so I could hear you say, it’s OK DJ…. it’s OK .. you’re doing good … you knew my life and how hard it was. It wasn’t easy … but with your patience and laughter and Gramma’s belly laugh , those few hours at the kitchen table drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes at your house helped define my life. We are all not perfect …. as evident in our past … but you made me realize that is just OK … it’s OK .. to not be perfect … and to love those who were not perfefct either. Thank you Aunt Mary for helping me grow up to be the person I am today. I can only say, I am glad I was able to to tell you how grateful I was for all you have done for me. ,.,., and I can tell you, Dad was always grateful for helping me forgive and love him unconditionally … I will miss you …. I will truly miss you …Thank you Aunt Mary .,.,. for just being you …. give Gramma, Aunt Jeanie, and most of all, Dad HUGE HUGE HUG for me ,…. and the next cup of coffee comes from me to you, Dad, Gramma, and Aunt Jean … and oh boy . … shake Uncle Larry awake (since I am sure his narcolepsy kicked in) and give him a hug too. I love you. I love you all Pam, Mike, and Kimmie … I just love you. <3<3<3
