Enoch Thomas "Tom" White III

Age 72, passed away August 24, 2011.  He was born December 27, 1938, in Gladwin.  Tom graduated from St. Johns High School, class of 1957, and attended Adrian College.  He served in the U.S. Navy for 3 years, and then worked at Michigan State University for 39 years, retiring in 2004.  Tom’s loves include his family, his church, Point Nipigon, the Tigers, and, of course, the Spartans!

Surviving are:  his son, William E. White and daughter-in-law, Cynthia, of Staten Island, NY; grandchildren, William Thomas White and Ryan Nicholas White; sister-in-law, Jane Penton White and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by:  his parents, Enoch “Ink” and Barbara White, twin brother, Henry and brother, Jonathon R. White.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2011, at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 1519 Elmwood Rd., Lansing, with The Rev. Carol Spangenberg officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jonathon R. White Fund at Capital Region Community Foundation in memory of E. Thomas White.
