Lawrence C. Seeger

Age 90, of DeWitt, passed away on March 31, 2011. He was born on April 23, 1920 in Bath, MI the son of William and Ida Seeger. He was a survivor of the Bath School disaster.

Lawrence served in the U.S. Army during WWII and graduated with a degree in Agriculture from Michigan Agricultural College. He worked for the Michigan Bell Telephone Company retiring in 1982 and was a lifelong member of Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lansing.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife Lillian in 2008 and one brother and one sister. He is survived by three children, Carol (David Grundmeier) Lamphere, Christine (Walter) Jung, and Steven (Joan) Seeger and five grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1001 N. Capitol Ave., Lansing, MI 48906 with Pastor Paul J. Lindloff officiating. Interment will follow in Gunnisonville Cemetery in DeWitt. The family will receive friends and family from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Please no flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
