Lloyd Hayhoe, Jr.Lloyd was born to Lloyd and Corla Hayhoe on May 4, 1931, in Ingham Township, and passed away Monday, December 19, 2016, at his home.  Lloyd was the starting pitcher for the Dansville Aggies, guard on the basketball team, running back on the football team, and president of his senior class.  In Lloyd’s senior year, the Aggies football team went undefeated against Mason, Holt, Okemos, Haslett, and several other Ingham County League teams.  After graduating, Lloyd met Joan Ketchum, of Mason, and they were married for 65 years, until she passed away in February of 2016.  Lloyd and Joan spent many years farming in the Ingham County area and eventually, Dad found his vocation in owning an asphalt company.  He started Hayhoe Asphalt in 1968, and, after 3 generations, it will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2017.  Lloyd and Joan had 4 children, John (Gail) Hayhoe, Steve Hayhoe, Bill (Deb) Hayhoe and Mary Hayhoe.  They also had 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Lloyd will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2016, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.  A celebration of his life will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday.  Interment, alongside his wife, will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dansville at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Its hard to say good bye to parents, but after a short absents, to know they are together again and to trust in Christ as Savior will give the comfort needed at this time.
