I knew the Carter family since the 1970’s. Their eldest son, who is now deceased, Steve, was my best friend. I was always hanging out at their house and was was warmly welcomed. Gloria was known to me as Ma Carter and everyone always knew who I was talking about. She was a kind, warm, funny, soul. One vivid memory I have of her is that she had such a positive attitude. Even though time and life separated us I often thought of her and the family. Ma Carter you will dearly be missed by all that knew you and by Don and your boys. My prayers to everyone in the family. She is now with her beloved Steve. Tell him hi and give him a hug for me. See you both on the other side.
