Merlene D. Chadwell

Age 75, of Mason, MI, passed away October 9, 2016. She was born April 13, 1941, in Lansing, to Merl and Ruby Larner.

Merlene retired from General Motors. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Lansing and she also belonged to a card club that played every Tuesday for over 40 years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Clinton P. Chadwell; children, Clinton M. Chadwell of Mason, Scott P. Chadwell of Napoleon, and Phillip L. Chadwell of Midland; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Judy (Ron) Mattson of Dansville, Bonnie (Art) Gregory of East Lansing, and Rockey (Marsha) Larner of Lansing; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Dawn M. Chadwell.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. Interment will follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Holt. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
