Richard P. Chamberlain

Age 84, of Lansing, MI, passed away January 20, 2014. He was born October 29, 1929, in Jackson, MI, son of Albert and Margaret Chamberlain.

 Richard proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as a clerk, worked for the State Department of Health, and was a member of the Audubon Society. He enjoyed playing the flute and was a very kind and generous man.

 He is survived by his brother, Philip Chamberlain; sisters-in-law, Saralu and Jean Chamberlain; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Lee Chamberlain in 2010; and siblings, Edgar (Calla Jean) Chamberlain, Marianne (Robert) Cox, Gordon Chamberlain and Nelson Chamberlain.

A time of sharing will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 3113 Boston Blvd., Lansing, MI.  The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lansing Symphony Orchestra.
