Loretta Blanche (Fuller) Atmore

Dewitt, Michigan.

Loretta entered this world October 30, 1929, the daughter of Ned and Ethel McDonald. She left us to be with her late husband, family and friends, August 31, 2013. During her stay on this earth, she touched the hearts of many and will be forgotten by very few. She was a gentle and caring person with many talents including sewing, knitting and crocheting; however, none were as precious as her Raggedy Ann and Cabbage Patch Dolls.

Loretta struggled with Multiple Sclerosis, a debilitating disease that caused her great agony most of her adult life; however, she fought a good fight right to the end, when Lord decided it was time for her to come home.

Loretta is survived by her three children Loretta (Steve) Spinrad of DeWitt, Alice (Ken) Jehle of Marine City, Al (Linda) Fuller of Lansing and step-daughter Pat (Jack) Ruzgis of Grand Ledge; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents Ned and Ethel McDonald, brothers George McDonald and Harry Tift, husband, Robert A. Atmore and stepson, Robert V. Atmore.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2103, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with Pastors Charles Bolinger and Kent Bolinger officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Noon.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Prestige Pines in DeWitt and Hospice Advantage for their tender and loving care of our precious mother. And for you mom, we will always love you and wish you a safe journey home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Advantage of Lansing in the name of Loretta Atmore.

Your mother was a good friend to my mother, Trudie, when they lived at Covington Woods. May she rest in peace. Jane Smith
