Lillian “Charline” Matney

Lillian “Charline” Matney, 89, died peacefully at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing, Michigan, on Thursday, November 18, 2010. She was born on November 12, 1921, in Clifty, Tennessee, the daughter of Charles and Nora (Stevens) Anderson. Charline retired from General Motors in 1981 when she moved to Scottsboro, Alabama, with her husband Ralph.

Charline is survived by one daughter, Patricia E. Dextrom of Holt, Michigan; one granddaughter Patricia A. Dextrom of Lansing, Michigan; one grandson Kenneth (Karen) Dextrom of Lansing, Michigan; three great grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; four sisters; her first husband, Joseph Lanyi; and her second husband, Ralph Matney.

There will be no service. Memorials (and donations in lieu of flowers, please) may be made to the American Heart Association.  Arrangements by the Estes-Leadley Funeral Home, Holt/Delhi Chapel.
