Kenneth W. Hendy

Age 95, of Lansing, MI, passed away June 24, 2013. He was born March 6, 1918, in Lansing, son of the late John and Maggie Hendy.

Kenneth was a creative genius and held many patents. He attended EMU and is in the Greater Lansing Hall of Fame. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Beatrice Elizabeth “Betty”; son, Bruce (Linda); daughter, Rebekah Hendy-Schaefer; daughter-in-law, Shirley; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel; daughter, Mary Susan; and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 12-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, in care of Betty Hendy.
