Carolyn R. Michels

Age 79, of Lansing, passed away April 23, 2013. She was born January 16, 1934, in Lapeer, MI, daughter of the late Walter and Mary McIntyre.

Carolyn liked cats. Over the years, she raised, owned and enjoyed being with her pets. She was a member of Church of the Resurrection and was formerly involved with their women’s group.

She is survived by her son, Terry Michels of Haslett, and grandsons Christopher and Nicholas Michels. She was preceded in death by husband Gordon Michels and 2 sons Gary and Timothy Michels.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, in Parlor A and B. Interment will take place in LaPorte Cemetery in Hemlock, MI. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
