William “Bill” Robinson

William Miller Robinson went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 10, 2014 after recently celebrating his 80th birthday. Bill was born to Gregory and Ellen Robinson on October 16, 1934 in Lansing, MI. He was currently of Lansing, MI.

Surviving are two daughters, Karyn (Paul) Atallah and Karla Robinson; six grandchildren, Anthony and Layna Atallah and Kyler, Kalyn, Kalyb, and Keyan VanWormer; two sisters, MaryEllen Fraser and Sharon (Rev. Norman) Muhling; one brother, Jerry (Betsy) Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. His wife Barbara preceded him in death in 2009 following 45 years of marriage. One brother, Richard Gregory Robinson, preceded him in death in 2002.

Bill graduated from J.W. Sexton High School class of ’52, attended Michigan State University, and was a lifelong member of First Assembly of God of Greater Lansing where he was an adult team Sunday school teacher for several years. Bill retired from Universal/Alro Steel in 2006 following 41 years of service. Bill was a good piano player despite having only one hand. He loved riding his bicycle and took countless family trips to Mackinac Island to bike around the island.

Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014, at First Assembly of God of Greater Lansing, 2717 West Rd., East Lansing, MI  48823. Service following at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Curt Dalaba officiating. Interment will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the orphanage founded by Bill’s sister and husband, MaryEllen (Robinson) and Jim Fraser.
