We are so sorry about the loss of Pete. A family friend from the Caspian years. (My parents…Wayne and Mel Seilo were close family friends of Pete’s parents.) Pete’s brother, Jim, was a groomsman in our wedding. Pete and Duane spent time together at Fort Riley, Kansas while in the National Guard. Our sympathy to the whole family. God bless all.

I’m so sorry to hear of Peter’s death. I was shocked when I heard. I had just seen him on Friday afternoon at the Y. He was such a sweet man and I’m sure I speak for all the staff here when I say we will miss him dearly.

I was saddened to hear of Pete’s passing. I will always remember him as one of the best Post Commanders I worked for.
May God grant you peace, love, grace and healing at this tragic time

Pete was my Post Commander in Romeo and was one of the best I had worked with in the State Police. Always upbeat and positive about the job at hand, he was an inspiration to those around him. He will be deeply missed.

My heart is heavy with this sad news. Coming from Caspian, our families were close. We went from Kindergarten through Stambaugh High together, last seeing him at our class reunion 2 years ago. ALL through these years Peter was kind, soft-spoken and never without a smile. Heaven surely has another angel.
My husband and I send our caring thoughts.

Pete was my Post Commander at Romeo Post and I have many good memories of his time there. Pete always put MSP first and acted accordingly. He was an easy person to work for as long as you did excellent work and kept MSP close to your heart. My wife Chari was the president of the Troopers wives group and worked with Betty quite often. They had a great working relationship. Pete will be missed by all.

Uncle Pete had a heart of gold. He found good in everyone. He loved life and being outdoors. Our hearts are so heavy at this time, trying fill it with good memories. 20 plus years ago our family was blessed when he met my Aunt Carol, we loved his easy going spirit and acceptance of us right away. His love for children and his friendly teasing and jokes always made visits fun. Uncle Pete cared about everyone and had a heart of gold. You will be missed dearly. God Bless.

I agree Shannon, Peter did have a heart of gold. I met him four years ago at the local YMCA and always looked foward to seeing him there. He told the best stories and jokes and always had a listening ear for me. Peter was one of the nicest people I ever met. He will be dearly missed.

Mr. Basolo was a very dear friend to my father, Sgt. T. Minard, of the Michigan State Police (Retired, deceased). Mr. Basolo was such a nice man, kind and fun to be around. For my Father, and myself, I offer my condolences to the family.

We were so sad to hear this news. Our mother, Lorayne (Pasquali) Burt, was very close to our cousin “Junior” and his sister Joyce. As children, we spent many gleeful times in the UP and Junior was always there, full of good spirit. We had the good fortune of seeing him in 2003 for a huge family/Caspian reunion. We wish Junior’s family members well. Gloria, Terry and Herb Burt
